Great unit!
I use this along, with a heat mat in my uninsulated tortoise house. I have this unit plugged into a thermostat. It does a great job of keeping my tortoises toasty on cool Texas nights. Not sure how low the temps can go with this set up yet, but for now I'm very pleased withe performance. I tried infrared heat lamps but they were way too bright.

Nice ceramic heater for small spaces
This ceramic heater works well for heating small spaces without using a heat lamp. I use it in a 20 gallon terrarium to heat the water dish for a young tortoise. It heats a portion of the space and is best for providing heat to specific areas, such as basking spots.

This product is great!
I use these heat sources on all of my reptiles. The product lasts and is worth the money.

Do not buy
These bulbs are expensive! However they say they should last much longer than a heat bulb so it is worth it Right? They don’t last!! After about a month and a half they both had gone bad. I am working on finding out why and seeing if they will be replaced or not.
