Probiotic Boost Kit

Probiotics (beneficial bacteria) help your koi, goldfish, and other ornamental pond fish absorb the maximum amount of nutrients from their food. This, in turn, helps maintain your fishes' overall health. Our Probiotic Boost Kit, with 200 grams powdered Probiotic Supplement and 4 oz Menhaden fish oil, lets you easily add probiotics to any fish food.

The Probiotic Supplement includes the strains Bacillus subtilis and Aspergillus oryzae. Each ounce (28 grams) of Probiotic Supplement powder contains at least 25 billion cells. To ensure that your pond fish food becomes thoroughly coated with the Probiotic Supplement, use the Menhaden fish oil included in your kit. Simply add a small amount of this high fat, vitamin-packed oil to your fish food before adding the probiotic powder. This helps ensure that the powder stays on the food so your fish ingest as much as possible.

The Probiotic Boost Kit treats up to 440 pounds of fish food, but can be used at a much higher inclusion rate, if desired.

Ingredients:

Directions for use:
Drs. Foster and Smith Probiotic Supplement for Ornamental Fish powder adheres to most fish foods. To determine if the food is sticky enough for the probiotic powder to attach without the Menhaden Fish Oil, do the following test: Place one cup of fish food in a small plastic bag, add 1/16 to 1/2 teaspoon of the probiotic powder and shake. If coated well, the food will have a dusty look to it. Depending on how much powder is used, not all the powder will stick. This is OK. If the food and powder combine easily simply add 1/8 to 1 teaspoon of powder per pound of fish food to a plastic bag and shake until coated. If it does not, use the Menhaden Fish Oil included in the kit to moisten the food as directed on the Menhaden Fish Oil bottle. Feed as normal. Store coated food in a cool, dry place and use within one year.

Caution: This product is intended for use with ornamental fish and is not to be used on food fish or those intended for human consumption.

Drs. Foster and Smith Menhaden Fish Oil

Ingredients:
Menhaden Fish Oil and Ethoxyquin (EMQ, preservative)

Directions:
Shake well before use. Use up to 1 teaspoon of Menhaden Fish Oil per pound of fish food, as needed, to moisten fish food to allow the Probiotic Supplement Powder in the kit to adhere to the food. The food should not look oily or wet. It is recommended to test a small sample of fish food (approximately 1 cup) prior to working with a larger amount. After feeding, the Menahaden Fish Oil on the food may create a slight oil film on the water's surface. This dissipates quickly and is harmless.
