Blackwater Medicated 1 lb
Blackwater medicated fish food
I give this to my Koi every year for the past 2 years. After wintering outside they have tendency to get ich and other scale issues. The fish take to this stuff like candy. It sinks to the bottom so everyone has a chance for some.
No more mixing medicine either. It's all done for you. All you do is feed them like you normally do.

Fixed Mouth Rot
My wife and I bought a house just a shade over a year ago. The house came with a Koi pond that I assumed the duty of maintaining. Needless to say I'm addicted to this hobby. Spring 2013 came and to my dismay I identified an Ich outbreak. I treated with fermaldyhde and having that not completely work went to a shotgun salt approach. This worked. But what was left behind was a clear case of mouth rot in one of my beloved fish. I caught the mouth rot a little late and tried other floating medications. Unfortunately, when your fish is overly sick they pretty much limit themselves to bottom feeding. This antibiotics mixture sinks to the bottom and got my otherwise sick and lethargic koi back on the healing track. Today, this fish is very much back to normal and much of the Zombie-looking mouth rot has healed itself away.

I ordered the Medicated Koi food for a fish that developed swim bladder disease - a bacterial infection - fed the food for 10 days and the fish is now swimming well .

product seemed to work
A few of my koi fish had red sores on them. I added extra salt to the water, and did a partial water change a few days later. The sores seemed to spread to other fish, and a couple of fish died. I sent for the medicated food, fed it exclusively for 10 days. 2 of the worst affected fish died, but the others seemed to get better. There were a few sores on a couple of fish, so we added more salt, and did a partial water change after a few days. They seem to be doing well. I'm debating on whether or not to give them the food, again, next month (October). I live in New York, and if the fish aren't healthy before the pond freezes over, I'm afraid they might not make it til the Spring. I sent for extra food to have on hand. If this happens again - I'll definitely feed them the food at the first sign of illness (I was told by a Koi dealer to give them medicated food when I described the symptoms. I think I waited too long; first time I've needed medicated food for the Koi)
