Attractive pagoda-style feeder with programmable digital timer dispenses food up to 5 times a day, so you can train your fish to eat when you can be there to watch them. Adjustable feed duration from 2 to 59 seconds for consistent feeding. Battery-operated cordless hopper feeder features lockable lid, clear sight gauge for convenient feed level check and eyehook for hanging. Durable galvanized steel construction with colored finish. Easy to assemble, simply connect battery, set timer and start feeding. Hopper holds up to 4 lbs of standard koi food from 1.5 to 9.5 mm (1/16" to 3/8"). Different types of food will dispense easier than others, thus some feed will require more time to dispense the same amount of food. Please specify color. Assembly Instructions
Remove from box and identify parts. (Timer for Feeder, Battery for Feeder, Feeder Unit)
Set Feed Size Adjustment Lever to the fully closed position before filling (away from you when facing open feeder).
After filling, move lever to adjust flow according to feed size. Note: Pellets larger than 10mm or 3/8 inch may not dispense even at full open position.
Install solar panel and bolt counter weight in front to the inside.
Electrical Connections
Place battery and timer on bracket inside feeder.
Connect flat White connecter from timer to opposite connector inside feeder.
Slide Red terminal onto positive (red) side of the battery. Slide Blue terminal onto negative (Black) side of the battery.
Set up timer.
Find a suitable place to hang feeder.
Instructions for Setting the Timer **NOTE** The timer operates in military time. If you are setting a time after noon, add 12 to the hour (1:00 pm is 13:00, 2:00 pm is 14:00, etc.)
When setting the timer, go slowly as you approach the desired time. If you pass the desired number, continue around to the correct time.
To Set Current Time of Day: Press "Time." The Hours will flash. Press "Incr" to increase the flashing number. Press "Set" to keep your setting. The Minutes will flash. Press "Incr" as before. Press "Set" to keep. The time of day is now set. **NOTE** If you overshoot with "Incr" go all the way to the highest number and register will begin again at the lowest.
To Set Feeding Events 1 Through 5: Press "Feed." The event number will flash. Press "Incr" to change. Press "Set." Feed Event time for the selected feeding event will flash Hours. Set time for feeding as described in previous section. When you have completed setting Hours and Minutes, the program will stop and return to operating display. To set the next Feed Event, repeat the above process.
To Set Number of Seconds the Feeder Feeds: Press both the "Feed" and "Time" simultaneously. Two digits will flash. Press "Incr" to increase the number of seconds per feeding. Press "Set." **Timer will not feed for less than two seconds.**

Food is not being dispensed.
Press "Test." Make sure motor runs for set amount of time. Check all wire connections and make sure they are sound.
Charge/replace battery. Use a charger specifically rated for your battery. Check to see that the timer is set to your feeding times.
