Love this stuff!
The benefits of pond dye are more than just aesthetic appeal. They help filter sunlight, keeping your pond temperature down in the heat of summer, which is good for your ponds overall health, as well as that of the fish who live there.
But the color really does add beauty to your pond, especially if yours is a newer pond that hasn't settled yet. Our pond is approximately 2 acres, and we swim and play in it regularly. We used the Twilight Blue the first time, which gives it a deep, dark bluish/green color, which seems very natural. The next time we used the straight Blue color and liked it as well.
The pond is much more reflective now and the temperature seems cooler as well.
If you're not sure, try a smaller amount, let it spread/settle and see if you like the results. You can always add more! Also remember that it's not permanent, so even if you don't like the color, it won't last forever!
Do wear latex gloves when applying it, as it will stain your skin. And consider adding smaller amounts to a bucket of water and applying at various locations around the pond to speed the spreading of the dye.
Once it's reasonably diluted in the water, it doesn't stain anymore. I used my dog and his ball to help disseminate it. lol
It's safe and non-toxic, so don't worry about it affecting your fish, your dog or your family.

The pond is a beautiful blue, love it.
I first put too much in the pond and for 3 weeks I could not see my koi. I had to dilute it and my koi are very happy. It not only looks good but protects my fish from the hot sun in south Texas. I would recommend it for anyone who wants their pond and waterfalls to sparkle a gorgeous blue.

Excellent product
I've been using this dye for two years now. I normally buy 3 bottles to last the entire year. I can usually use 1 bottle at beginning of year to turn a 1/3 acre pond then add small amounts after down pours that cause the pond to overflow out the overflow pipe. Much better product than anything you can buy locally in a 1 gallon container.

Beautiful color
Bought this for my man made pond behind my home. A little goes along way, making this a great value..this will last me for a few years. When the fountains are on the color is just amazing, especially in the sun...deep rich blue color..great enhancement to any pond.
