Great for freshwater ornamental ponds |
Activated Filter Carbon
Lightweight and long-lasting activated carbon effectively removes organic waste and contaminants. Adsorbs organic waste, odors, colors, medications, and toxins to create clearer, cleaner, and healthier water. Great for both fresh and saltwater aquariums as well as ornamental ponds. Use bulk chemical filter media with a
filter media bag.
Ammo-Chips
Remove deadly ammonia with the natural ammonia-removing mineral, zeolite. Easy-to-use chemical filter media continuously removes ammonia in new or established aquatic system. Ammo-Chips are fully rechargeable in saltwater solution, allowing multiple use for a cost-effective solution for ammonia control. For use with freshwater aquariums and ponds. Use bulk chemical filter media with a
filter media bag.
Ammo-Carb
Combination chemical filter media for clean and healthy freshwater aquariums and ornamental ponds. Superior combination of highly activated carbon and zeolite ammonia remover keeps water crystal clear and free of ammonia. Ammo-Carb also removes dissolved organic wastes, colors, and odors to improve water quality and promote fish health. Phosphate free. Use bulk chemical filter media with a

| Activated Filter Carbon:
Directions for Use:
Carbons are used by volume and not by weight.
Use 1/2 cup (8 tablespoons) of rinsed Activated Filter Carbon for each 10 U.S. gallons of aquarium or pond water.
- Rinse thoroughly under tap water to remove any dust caused by shipping vibration.
- Place in filter media bag and use in filtration device according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Replace Activated Filter Carbon every 3 to 4 weeks, sooner if aquarium or pond is heavily stocked or if odors or colors are detected.
General Information
Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Activated Filter Carbon is a unique, lightweight, coal-based carbon developed to work effectively in aquariums. This exceptional carbon removes organic waste, odors, colors, medications, and toxins through chemical adsorption. Activated Filter carbon is fast-acting to promote fish health by creating cleaner, clearer water. Activated Filter Carbon can be used in any filter and will not elevate phosphate levels when used as directed. It can also be used in ornamental ponds.
Ammo-Chips:
Directions for Use:
Use 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) of Ammo-Chips for each 10 U.S. gallons of aquarium or pond water. For goldfish aquariums, use 2 tablespoons of rinsed Ammo-Chips for each goldfish.
- Rinse thoroughly under tap water to remove any dust caused by shipping vibration.
- Place in filter media bag and use in any filtration equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions.
To Recharge Ammo-Chips:
- Use 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) of aquarium salt in 1/2 U.S. gallon of water for every 12 oz (340 g) of Ammo-Chips
- Soak Ammo-Chips in salt solutions for 2 hours.
- Rinse under tap water and re-use.
General Information
Ammonia is continually produced from fish waste, uneaten food and organic debris. High ammonia level is a common water quality problem in new or unbalanced aquatic systems. Ammonia is toxic to fish and can cause gill damage, loss of appetite, and eventual death. Ammonia also creates stress and lowers resistance to infections. Ammo-Chips can be used in any freshwater aquarium to remove deadly ammonia and enhance the filtration system. Test water weekly with ammonia test kit and use Ammo-Chips when ammonia levels are detected. Ammo-Chips can also be used in ornamental ponds.
