Uncut Blue Bonded Filter Pad 1 pk
I replace the media on my filter cartridges with this. I have one 55 gallon tank that is heavily planted. I will not use charcoal in this tank.
I initially cut a slit into the media on the cartridges and shook out all of the charcoal. I used the cartridges like this until the media needed to be replaced. Then I carefully cut off the old meida. I use the plastic frame as a template to cut new media. I dip themedia in tank water to seed bacteria and then secure with a thin rubberband, top, middle and bottom.
This bonded media has medium and fine filtration and my water is always crystal clear. Buying the 6 packs saves even more money.

I like the versatility of cut to fit for my ponds needs.
I use it both at the pump itself and in a biologic system nearby my pond.

Very Versitile Product
When people think of filter pads they think of them for use in small aquariums - I have a 3000 gallon pond with 23 big koi (one is 30 inches) which is way too many fish. But I've used two full ones of the blue bonded pads as part of a pre-filter for my trickle tower - and they really, really trap a lot of fish poop. I can hose them out three or four times before I have to toss them which is about two weeks usage. My oldest koi are about 10 years old - so these pads do work - and they're cheap.

It is always in my inventory.
It does the job.
It works great when you place activated carbon between two layers.
