This tireless filter tackles the problems of cloudy or dirty water with ease. Ideal filter for ponds up to 1,000 gallons, this external filter features 3-stage filtration with 2 baskets that lift out for easy maintenance. Includes pumice filter material as biological media and foam pad for mechanical filtration. Trays offer plenty of space, allowing for use of customized media. Also features a universal click-fit coupling with 3/4", 1", or 1-1/4" inlet, built-in drain plug for quick water removal, and two outlets allowing for attachment to UV Sterilizer and for return to pond. Flow rate 500-1000 gph. Measures 20" x 15" x 13" high without fittings.

Installation Instructions
Remove and rinse all plastic components of the filter box.
Open biological filter media and place evenly in bottom tray. Rinse thoroughly before placing tray back into filter box.
Rinse foam sheet and place on top of bottom tray.
Replace top tray.
Fill top tray with the pre-filter media of your choice.
Replace lid.
Position filter box in suitable location.
Connect Click-Fit coupling to input hose after cutting coupling to correct hose size.
Re-connect coupling to filter box.
Adjust the flow rate of your pump so that the water volume of the pond is passed through the filter every two hours.
Maintenance Instructions
When pre-filter and/or foam show signs of being blocked, remove from filter box and thoroughly rinse in a bucket of pond water.
Replace the sponge if it fails to make a tight fit with the sides of the filter box. Replace filter sponges at least once a year.
The biological media in the bottom tray should not be disturbed. If biological filter media requires replacement, replace only half of the media at a time.
