• Remove and rinse all components.
• Reassemble ensuring bottom location lug is correctly positioned in slot.
• Cut desired length of flexible hose.
• Connect quick fit coupling to hose after cutting coupling to correct hose size.
• Connect to intake of pond pump.
• Reconnect coupling to filter box.
• For convenience and easy cleaning, the filter can be installed at the side of the pond. For maximum efficiency, the filter should be positioned in the deepest part of the pond and as far away as possible from the water return.

Maintenance Instructions

• When foam shows signs of being blocked, remove from the filter box and thoroughly rinse in a bucket of pond water.
• Replace the sponge if it fails to make a tight fit with the sides of the filter box, or at least once a year.
• The biological media in the first section should not be disturbed until such time as it is to be replaced.
• Replacing only 50% of the biological media at a time is recommended.
