Floating Fish Barrier 18" diameter
Just what I needed!
I had been using a homemade floating ring with a screen bottom in which I had placed water plants to keep them contained, but the foam deteriorated and I needed something new. I didn't need this as a fish barrier since my shubunkins don't eat the roots. This floating fish barrier turned out to be perfect for my situation. I am really hap hap happy with the purchase, especially since it saved me from a couple hours of work to make a new one! Also this floating ring is machine sewn all around, which is exactly how I wanted it to be.

This is a GREAT product! I have very large koi and have in the past had my floating hyacinths roots eaten away to nothing. I purchased two of these large round nets and now my hyacinths grow wild in them and look very healthy. At the end of the season I release the hyacinths to let the koi nibble away on the roots which I know is good and natural for them. I cannot keep hyacinths year round so this works out great. I can still have my floating plants all summer with these round nets and then let the koi do what they would normally do and benefit from it. Thanks!

My koi love to eat my water hyacinths, water lettuce as well as anything else that floats. These barriers are great to keep them from destroying the plants! I ordered the 18" as well as the 36" barriers and both work well to save the plants! At the end of the summer I can just wash them out & use again the following year.

This is the best product I have purchased to protect my plants.
This plant protector has worked better than expected. It is performing more functions than just protecting the plants. The koi actually lay their eggs on the plants while in the protector. I added some crushed coral to the net to expand the depth of it, the coral also helps raise the ph. I noticed that some of the fish eggs hatched inside the net and the fry are thriving. What a great product.
