Floating Pond Skimmer Floating Pond Skimmer
Great skimmer for the price
I have a 1200 gallon pond and this skimmer seems to be doing a great job. I have had it running for a bit over a week. As said before by other people, there are no instructions (its not that hard to get together...took about 3 or 4 minutes of playing with it to get the parks to line up properly) and when you clean the basket out, the skimmer starts to come out of the water. Once you put the basket back in, just push it down so that the basket fills with water and then no problems. I would highly recommend this to anyone that is trying to save some money and doesn't want a traditional skimmer for whatever reason.

Very good, effective skimmer - though a bit small
Good product that is well deigned and made from high quality materials. The skimmer is very effective in removing small floating debris from the pond surface such as leaves, pine needles, and vegetation.
Skimmer kind of "floats" on it's own to the depth needed to properly "skim" off particles and debris. However, if it gets tipped to one side, it looses it's "prime" and the skimming action stops and the pump just sucks in air. The skimmer has a very small basket and needs to be emptied often - especially after a rain storm.
All in all it does what it was designed to do. It's simple, effective, and I would recommend it for small ponds.

Pretty cool product
Put a few parts together and plug it in. Works great on getting floating pine needles and left over Koi food floating on top. Works as advertised.
