Choose pump flow rates, pressure & watt draw from 3 different settings
|
Dial down the power when you need a delicate touch. ReeFlo BlowHole external pond pumps let you instantly choose flow rates, pressure and watt-draw from three different settings. Changing speeds requires no additional plumbing - only a turn of the dial! Aluminum cast motor with FloThru design minimizes heat transfer while graphite motor bearings ensure the quietest operation. Space-saving magnetic drive pump has a compact footprint: 1100 and 1450 are 6" x 6" x 6" high; 2700 is only 9" x 9" x 9" high. ReeFlo BlowHole Pond Pumps are for external use only.
Features:
- 3-Speed Adjustable Flow Switch - BlowHole Pumps by ReeFlo feature a unique 3-speed AdjustaFlow Switch that allows you to instantly choose flow rates, pressure and watt draw from three different settings. Cut the flow and watt in half during feeding time and then instantly switch back when desired.
- Nearly Silent Operation - BlowHole Pumps employ graphite motor bearings to ensure the quietest operation. You will have to put your ear near it to hear it.
- Very Low Heat Transfer - BlowHole Pumps feature a FloThru design that prevents the water from picking up motor heat while churning inside the pump head. The BlowHole uses an aluminum cast motor, which dissipates heat before it can reach the water.

| Warning: ReeFlo BlowHole Pumps allow water to circulate inside the motor assembly. This allows the water for the intake to cool the motor and keep the discharge water from being heated. However, if the pump is running a tank that is too small, any heat that is transferred will be circulated back to the pump too quickly.
Installation
Please read manual carefully. When properly installed your ReeFlo pump will provide dependable, trouble-free service.
- Do not submerse the unit in water. It is not a submersible pump. Do not allow the pump to be submerged or otherwise get wet.
- Locate the pump as near the source to be pumped as possible. A flooded suction is preferred.
- The pump is not self-priming. Therefore, if the fluid level is below the pump, a swing type check valve or a foot valve must be installed below the water level. The pump and inlet line must be primed prior to start up. DO NOT run the pump dry.
- Mount the Motor Base to a secure, immobile foundation preferably one that will dampen vibration.
- Use only plastic fittings on both the inlet and discharge ports. Seal the inlet and discharge fittings with Teflon® pipe dope. These fittings should be self-supported and in neutral alignment with each port (i.e. Fittings must not be forced into port alignment, which may cause premature line failure or damage to the pump volute).
- Never restrict the inlet. Keep inlet line as free of elbows and valves as possible. Always use pipe of adequate diameter. This will reduce friction losses and maximize output. Never use an inlet line of smaller diameter than the discharge line. Minimize the suction lift.
Priming the Pump
Pumps do not pull water (unless it's a self-priming pump). Pumps push water that is fed to them. Either water must flow to the pump by gravity OR you can trap water in the intake line and start the pump. To do this, use a check valve (prevents backflow) in the water source and backfill the system until the air is forced out. Once the pump is "drowned" start the pump. |
