Easy upgrade prolongs pond pump life. The TetraPond Cylinder Pre-Filter is the easy-to-install solution to dramatically reduce pump damage due to debris. Stop sand, gravel, twigs or any foreign matter from damaging pump impeller or causing premature stress and wear of your submersible water pump. Use the included barbed fitting adapter to connect the TetraPond Cylinder Pre-Filter to the intake of any TetraPond Water Garden Pump or similar submersible pond pump. Foam insert doubles pump protection with added mechanical filtration.
Includes: Foam insert (4" dia x 6" high), adapter for pre-filter to tubing (1" thread to 1" barb), 4" long section of 1" ID tubing and inlet adapter for pump (1-1/4" MPT x 1" barb & 3/4" MPT x 1" barb).

Attaching your Pre-Filter

Remove the pump cage supplied with pump.

Thread the proper inlet hose fitting into the inlet of pump.

Attaching tubing to the hose fitting.

Attach the proper filter fitting to the other end of the hose.

Thread the filter fitting into the pre-filter.
Cleaning your Pre-Filter

Unplug the pump from the electrical outlet.

Remove pre-filter cylinder from pond.

Remover filter media foam from inside pre-filter. Flush with water to remove debris.
