Koi Kastle Mesh - 18" x 14" x 6" high
Both of these work great in our pond to protect the gold fish & Koi
We had issue with a white egret coming in our back yard during the early morning hours and eating our goldfish and koi. Pond plants were not enough them to hide from the Egret. We looked on line to see what other people were doing and what was working for them. They said they were using these the Koi pond shelter and Koi kastle mesh.
We ordered and feel they are of good quality materials. I put them in the pond around the pond plants and the fish took them right away no problem. They are using them to hide if there is any sudden movement that scares them. The pond shelter is light and I just wedged it between the pots in the pond with plants stays in place. I also ordered a pond reef from another site as Dr Foster & Smith do not carry them yet. It is made a thicker material than Pond fish shelter with openings on three sides and one on top to put a 1 gallon potted water plant in it. Fish can go under that to hide as well.

Mesh Kastle looks great!
Earlier this year, after keeping pond open and circulating, we lost both our large koi. I think a heron, hawk, or owl got them. This mesh tunnel kastle looks like it will provide protection for any new fish we purchase.

My pond has very little shade and lots of opportunity for flying predators to stop by for a snack. Added Koi Kastle and the fish didn't waste any time getting inside.
Great product, great service...

I ordered both of these- the solid one and the screened one. The solid one has a tendency to float. The screened one settles to the bottom and stays there, plus I can see what fish are hiding in it. That will probably be short-lived as the screen has a tendency to get coated with stuff and will become opaque at some time in the future. But either of these will be at least a partial solution to predators looking to make a meal out of your fish.
