Works as advertised
This is my second pond saucer. I accidentally broke the first one and needed a replacement. Product works well and is very economical.

This product performs as advertised.
I depend on this product to keep my Koi pond from freezing completely. So far, it has operated well and kept an area around the heater free from ice.

product did job-but.
I only used this product one winter. It worked fine except that when I took it out of pond in the spring it had a hole in it and I am afraid to use it again because of that reason. It seems as though I wasted all that money just for one seasons use.

Does not last
I had the same experience pondman had. After one season the heater had a hole in the plastic. Being cheap, I let the inside dry out and filled the hole with aquarium sealant and used the heater a second season. At the end of the second season there were more holes in the plastic housing. So I dried it out again and filled those holes with aquarium sealant. We are a few months into the 3rd season and it quit yesterday. We're in MN and keep our fish in a stock tank in the garage during the winter. The stock tank froze over last night. I just ordered a different brand heater and we'll have to work to keep the stock tank from freezing over the next few days until the new heater arrives. But I should have replaced this heater sooner so that is my fault.
