Pond light uses solar power, so they cost nothing to run |
| * |
Perfect for accenting plants and other garden or pond features at night |
| * |
LED light automatically turns on at dusk and off at dawn |
Authentically crafted rock decoration accentuates pond or garden features with solar light. Large spotlight includes four super bright white LED bulbs for intense illumination. Easy to use - no wires or cables to restrict placement. The realistic, hardwearing, stone-effect finish will weather and mellow with age, blending further with the surroundings. Includes rechargeable batteries and features manual on/off button or switch. Pre-installed premium LED bulbs last over 100,000 hours. Rocks are constructed of durable, heavy-duty, weather-resistant polyresin.
During the day the solar panel mounted on top of the light converts daylight into electricity and recharges the integrated AA batteries. At dusk the lights turn on automatically and run on the electricity stored during the day. The lights will operate for up to 8 hours at night if fully charged during the day. Running time is dependent on exposure to the sun and will vary with the seasons, long in spring and summer, shorter in autumn and winter. For maximum running time the lights should be positioned in full sun away from cover or shade. 4 LEDs, 7-1/2" x 5" x 5-1/2" high.

Installation Instructions:
- On the underside of the Rock Spotlight, switch the on/off switch to the on position. Position in direct sunlight for a minimum of 8 hours.
- For best results, position your Rock Spotlights where they are free from cover or shade. Do not locate lights near other night light sources as this may cause them to switch off. The lights should be positioned approximately 5 feet apart; failure to do so may cause the lights to flicker on and off.
Maintenance:
If the solar panel becomes dirty, the charging capacity will be reduced. Clean the solar panel periodically with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh detergents as these may damage the panel.
Batteries:
The rechargeable batteries supplied with this product are guaranteed for a period of 1 year from date of purchase. They are AA rechargeable batteries and can be purchased from most electrical retailers. If the batteries need replacement:
- Take the Rock Light and turn the on/off switch to the OFF position.
- Undo the four screws at the base of the light to gain access to the battery compartment.
- Remove the old batteries and fit in the new ones.
- Reattach the battery compartment cover and switch the light ON.
NOTE: Batteries must be recycled or disposed of properly, do not dispose of in fire.
Troublingshooting:
If your solar light does not operate properly at night (the light is dim, turns off soon after dark, or does not switch on), it may be caused by one of the following:
- Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
- If the weather has been cloudy or overcast during the day, the batteries may not be fully charged for nighttime operation. If the solar panel does not receive enough sunlight on a particular day, it will recharge the next sunny day and resume normal operation.
- The batteries may require replacement.
How solar light works
Solar light must be placed outdoors. The built-in solar panel collects and converts sunlight into DC power everyday while the pre-installed rechargeable battery stores the energy to power the light at night. The built-in sensor automatically activates the light at dusk and deactivates at dawn.
How long solar light illuminates
It depends on the seasonal sunlight availability in your geographical area under certain weather conditions. Stronger or longer sunlight hours enable battery to store more energy, which provides more lighting hours. On the contrary, weaker or short sunlight hours reduce the lighting hours.
At what location does solar light work the best
Solar light must be placed outdoors at a location with its solar panel receiving DIRECT sunlight at least 8 hours each day. Shadowed locations will not allow battery to be fully charged and will reduce both the brightness of the light and the lighting hours at night.
