Koi Kastle Mesh - 18" x 14" x 6" high
I ordered both of these- the solid one and the screened one. The solid one has a tendency to float. The screened one settles to the bottom and stays there, plus I can see what fish are hiding in it. That will probably be short-lived as the screen has a tendency to get coated with stuff and will become opaque at some time in the future. But either of these will be at least a partial solution to predators looking to make a meal out of your fish.

I like to call it the Koi Kave -When the UPS driver handed me the box, he was afraid it was empty, the product is so light. I assured him I have been ordering from Doctors Foster and Smith for years and I trusted what I ordered was in there. This product was bigger than I thought and sank to the bottom of my pond with no weights. It is practically invisible in my pond and my pond is only 2 1/2 feet deep. My fish love it. I had built a refuge for them out of some stone in the pond when they were small, but they have grown so much, I really needed something they could all get into and this product was the perfect solution. Lightweight and no worries about it tearing the liner. I selected the solid version and it is a quality product. And since I am on the mailing list, I got it on sale!

if you let it float it's fine
like other posters i first tried tethering it to the bottom of our pond. this didn't work. but then i just let it float and it works fine. just as the ice is beginning to thaw the koi are beginning to emerge from their castle.
