Little Giant Low Water Cut-Off Switches for Pumps protect your pump investment by automatically shutting off your pump anytime water becomes unavailable whether it's from the skimmer bellows being closed, low water levels or extremely dirty skimmer filters. Restores power automatically to the pump when water level returns to normal levels. Easy-to-install units prevent costly pump damage due pump burn out. Available in two styles to accommodate your pond filtration setup.

RS-5 Diaphragm Switch features a pressure activated diaphragm that detects water level around the switch housing to control on-off operation of the pump. Comes with a piggyback 115V plug/receptacle and is recommended for pumps up to 1/2 HP rated at 10 amps or less. RS-5 Diaphragm Switch measures 3-1/2" x 2" x 5" high.

RFSN-16 Tethered Float Switch features a mechanical float that controls on-off operation of the pump. Stops pump function when water level drops and alters the 45 degree operational angle of the plastic cylinder float. Comes with a piggyback 115V plug/receptacle and is recommended for 3/4 HP to 2 HP pumps rated at 15 amps or less. RFSN-16 Tethered Float Switch measures 2-7/8" diameter x 3-1/2" high. 20 ft power cord (tether).

• Clean skimmers, filters, and pumps - A dirty filtration system is inefficient and causes your pump to work harder while accomplishing less. Eventually, it may clog and not work at all. Clean and replace filter media as needed to make sure your pond filtration system is in top condition.
• Ensure proper water level for submersible skimmer pumps - Proper water level within the skimmer filter is essential for proper pump function. To prevent your pump from running dry, make sure there are no obstructions that can reduce or prevent water flow into the skimmer filter. OR install a low water cut-off switch that will safely shut off your pump when it detects low water levels detrimental to pump function.
• Winterize your pump - In regions that experience extended periods of freezing temperature, shut down your water pump and remove the filter media when water temperature consistently drops below 40°F. Drain and store pump and filter media per manufacturer's recommendation.
