Hello RockMelter,
I have contemplated this very question but I know of no pipe or tubing that will handle the results of ICE in the line. The best idea I have come up with is to take filters out when the fall comes and then make sure the water is as clean as possible at that time. The other option is to heat the pond and cover it so that temperature can be maintained and filters allowed to run. This is most economically done using natural gas systems. The filter must be either in a enclosure like garage or place that the cold temperatures can not freeze it by itself. I have tried wrapping the filter in a insulation material but it gets pretty large in the end after covering all sides. It is a difficult solution to be dealt with as you never know how cold it is going to get and for how long. If not for a pond, I have heard of pipe sweaters or solution where a heating element is put into a pipe- these are electric.

Thank you for your question. The Flexible PVC Pipe is only available in the two pre-cut lengths (25' and 50'). They can easily be connected using a pvc connector available at your local hardware store.
