Dull Blade?
If your pet’s nails split during cutting, then your trimmer blade is dull and needs to be replaced.

Before removing Blade
Before removing the blade, note its position – shiny side up. Replace the new blade in the same position.

Removing Blade

1. Squeeze handles together until you see a small hole in the cutting blade.
2. Drop the gold pin (included in blade replacement kit) through this hole.
3. Release the handles. This will set the cutting blade in position for release.
4. Push down on the blade ejector tab (triangle-shaped lever located between handles). This will release the cutting blade. Now remove the pin.
5. Squeeze handles together to push the blade forward for easy removal. Blade will eject.

Inserting new blade

1. Push down on blade ejector tab and re-insert cutting blade until small hole in cutting blade disappears.
2. At this point, release the blade ejector and your new cutting blade is ready to use.

Handles Won't Close?
If handles won't close easily, this means the cutting blade is too far in. Tap front of trimmer in the palm of your hand, allowing the blade to move forward enough for the ejector to fall in place.
