Keep your bird close and provide your active friend a convenient way to hang out with you! Compact, lightweight pack lets you choose which way to carry your bird - choose fanny pack style with harness to secure directly to belt, or securely strap on shoulder with comfortable removable shoulder pad with leveling feature. If you need to maneuver in crowds, detachable shoulder strap allows you to carry your bird comfortably in a shoulder bag. Tail pouch (attaches to carrier with Velcro®) collects waste and is easily cleaned. Constructed of 1680-denier nylon and a full open stainless steel safety mesh top, the tough exterior protects your bird from unwanted contact. Features include waist strap loops at side, perch and beak railing for stability, 3 adjustable perch levels (at 7", 8.25", and 9" from beak railing), reinforced feeding hole, non-skid floor material, and privacy cover. Features hook and loop covers for perch holes not in use - no more worrying about mosquitoes (vectors of West Nile Virus) getting at your bird. Closes with zipper and self-fasteners. The tail pouch does not allow waste, feathers or seed hulls to escape, so it is a very sanitary way to carry a parrot indoors.

About Stainless Steel Mesh
Stainless steel mesh is recommended for birds that love to chew and explore, and will give you peace of mind. Stainless steel mesh provides more ventilation than nylon mesh. Metal mesh allows the bird to see outside, yet the construction provides more privacy. Perch Position and Tail Pouch: Birdie Pouch comes with 3 perch positions to accommodate birds of various sizes and tail length by moving the perch up and down. Please be mindful of tail pouch if carrier is set down on a flat surface.

Cleaning and Storage: With the semi-rigid support panels and bars detached, the carrier can be unzipped and opened up flat for a complete cleaning and easy storage. For regular cleaning, detach the small corner flaps and unzip the side to remove the floor panel. The carrier can be water-hosed inside out.

Maintenance: Various reinforcements have been added to the carrier's structure to prevent the plastic inserts from warping over time. To maintain the carrier's shape, when not in use, please unzip the entire carrier, detach the support panels and store it in a flat configuration.

Note: Take time to acclimate your bird to the carrier. Not every bird will take to it immediately. We recommend treat-based training and even this method may take more than a few weeks.
