This product attracts doves and juncos to your yard
Many mixes contain seeds and grains that no bird eats (or attracts critters you don’t want). I was wasting money buying something that had only a small percentage of what I wanted. Pure millet is just what my mourning doves and juncos LOVE. I toss a little on the ground around the yard. It is impossible to find pure millet at stores. Thank you for offering this product.

Buntings love it
I used this with the Squirell Proof Cage Feeder and within a few days had as many as 6 painted buntings at the same time. Also attracted other small birds but not the big guys. Deterred the raccoon and grey squirrels.

Great for nutrition!
All our birds can use this! Millet is an excellent treat to add to their daily diet. I just sprinkle it on top of the food they eat daily ( the millet occasionally) to give them a treat to add to their daily food. It's great! All the birds love the Millet!

Great foundation for custom diets
After a two year research study on seeds and grains fed to parrots and availability of these foods to different regions of the world in the middle ages, I discovered that the pre-mixed foods offered inferior nutrition and taste to the custom foods I can make with Dr. Foster and Smith seeds and nuts. This white millet is a great foundation to any custom mix, particularly for birds 150 grams or less. I mix my food with about 45-50% kaytee rainbow exact pellets (use whatever pellets your birds prefer), 30% Dr. Foster and Smith white millet, about 3% of Dr. Foster and Smith red millet, about 5-10% Dr. Foster and Smith safflower, about 5% sunflower seeds (almost always Dr. Foster and Smith), and the rest in finely chopped walnuts, almonds, peanuts, and/or pecans. Small birds can eat all these nuts--you just need to chop them into small pieces to avoid the bird taking one bite and dropping the rest onto the floor (at considerable expense to you).
No matter how much your bird loves this white millet, always put more pellets than millet in the mix and make it as varied a mix as possible. The Golden millet sprays actually have more nutrition than this millet, so do provide a millet spray in your diet at least 1x per week for better nutrition. Use less red millet because of the three millet choices of white prozo, red prozo, and spray millet, red has the lowest protein value.
I've been buying this white prozo millet for years and always happy with it--but do make sure, as with any seed, you FREEZE IT for a few days before use. I've had much fewer seed moths by unfreezing about 1 1lb at a time and keeping the rest in the freezer until needed.
This is definitely better stuff than the pre-mixed stuff...just use the formula above for your small and medium sized parrots I outlined. My birds are VERY HEALTHY from this diet! I will never go back to pre-mixed again!
