Lovebirds
I also have excellent results with this particular red millet. My two lovebirds have been enjoying this red millet as a staple, nibbling on it all day as they listen to bird songs from the Amazon and other habitats. I deliver red millet in a standard feed silo and because it's small, has a smooth surface and round shape, it doesn't get jammed. For over two years now they have thrived on it.
They prefer red millet over all other seed, so it's low maintenance. Provided I keep them in red millet, they're happy! They prefer red millet over all other millets, and my theory is twofold: 1- Red is a color they find attractive, which isn't surprising in nature; 2- millet is likely red in this case because it contains nutrients not present in other millets.
They absolutely adore it, and it's so cute to watch them snack on it before their U.V. lighting and bird songs goes out automatically at bedtime! I order a good supply to avoid running out, which would be regrettable.

Very well liked!
This is the first time I noticed "Red Millet". I gave it a try and all our birds, finches (small birds) up to our Love Birds (Med-Large) Birds , love it!
It's a great treat (like Millet) to add with their daily food. I give it to them occasionally as a treat mixed in with their other food. They love it!
