Rated 5 out of 5 by BigTimedHoach Paco's favorite toy
My african grey has enjoyed this for a year now. He is still interested even when it is empty. He bellies up to it and has a special beak tapping and clicking for it. He talks to it. It is certainly durable and easy to clean. I would say it is his favorite toy of all time, and it didn't take long at all for him to warm up to it initially. I put all sorts of treats in it: peanuts, sunflower seeds, cheddar goldfish crackers, pistachios. He can empty it pretty quickly, it's not much of a challenge.

I bought this on the advice of my vet, who wants Jessie to have more opportunities to stay busy and do less feather plucking. It is strong and well constructed, clear so we can see what's inside. It's pretty heavy, and more than my little Hahn's macaw can properly use. She's somewhat handicapped and just can't get to the treat opening unless I hold it down for her. Also, the opening is somehow not quite large enough for her beak to easily get into and grab the treats.
In the future, I will be more cautious about such a purchase, but in general I guess it's a good idea for other birds.
