Macaws Like this perch
Nice perch the macaws dont go thru these as quick as they do the mineral blocks. This works good for my macaws even if they dont chew it all the time its there if they want it. They dont need minerals all the time but when they do its in the cage. These save money because they last longer.

My birds enjoy these mineral perches.
I actually buy several sizes of these perches for my different size birds. My cockatiel likes it but the perch stays in tack for a long time. My eclectus parrots love these the most. I always keep a backup perch handy as they go through spells where they work hard on chewing on them and other times they don't. These Manu Mineral perches are their preference over other 'chew' perches that I have tried before. I have found longer perches, like these, for my eclectus at a bird store, but I like to buy from Doctors Foster and Smith. So for the large widths, a longer length is nice too.

poorly made
I bought this perch because my birds were not using there mineral blocks or cuttlebones and I had read that if you use a mineral or calcium perch they are more likely to chew it since they are sitting on it and rubbing their beaks on them. I had had one similar to this years ago with my conure but it was an actual chola perch with the manu mineral coating. This is all mineral shaped like chola. The first thing I noticed is that on all five I bought the screw bolt that goes into the perch is poorly placed and off kilter. When you attach to the cage it makes it sit at weird angels no matter what you do and I actually broke two of them completely off while trying to install them. I put the broken pieces on their play places and I guess I will hang the others from the top of the cage where it won't matter how they hang. completely defeating the purpose of the perch.

DID NOT LIKE
I thoughtt this was a bigger item n harder for my birds but its more for a tiny bird want buy those again I will go to petstore to get right ones next time .My goffin didnt liek it its had to amny holes that scares her ....but i do like the food I get from here
