Tug N Slide Tower Bird Foraging Toy 4-1/2" x 5" x 23" high
All the birds LOVE it!
All of the birds from our puzzle queen to our shy Moluccan love this toy/treat dispenser. Easy enough for the smaller birds like our Citron, yet interesting for the bigger ones. Lots of play time even when it is empty because it makes a noise when released suddenly- they love it!

We have a blue and gold and a scarlet macaw - both supposedly smart birds. They spend hours at this toy - often arguing over who gets to try - attempting to get food to the bottom tray. They cannot figure it out and often just chew on the plastic. The great news is that this is MACAW-PROOF! Pieces have not broken off! Fun toy! Tough to clean though.

I bought two of these foraging toys, one for my Umbrella Cockatoo and one for my Goffin Cockatoo both figured out the top slide right away, but neither has figured out to pull the bottom to release the treats. I don't want to show them, because that defeats the purpose of the toy! However, it's been 3 weeks and I think they will give up trying before actually figuring it out. We will have to wait and see. I think I'm about to give in and show them, lol.

My Goffins Cockatoo has had this toy for about 1 1/2 weeks. It was relatively easy for her to figure out the slide to drop the treat down, but so far she has not figured out that she needs to pull the string to drop it down into the tray so that she can retrieve it. I have shown her a few times and I think she is beginning to figure it out. My husband saw her yesterday pulling on the string, so we may be close (and no more help now). I think this toy presents a good mental challenge for a parrot. Even after they have figured out how to operate it, it still requires the right sequence of different actions to get at the treat.
