My Yellow Nape and Red Lored Amazons love these balls on a leather cord or loose on their cages. They hold them and chew or chase them around till they are destroyed, a sign of true love in their world. Hours of exercise and fun.

I string these blocks on leather strips and my birds love chewing them.
Great exercise for their beaks and great fun for them to destroy.

I had several chains (about 8-10 inches long) left over from assembled wooden toys that my birds already destroyed. I bought the wooden blocks because they have a 3/8 inch hole, so the chain can fit through the hole, with a hanger clip at each end of the chain (to attach at each end to the top or sides of the cage). It is less expensive to make my own toys (than to buy already assembled toys). I place about 6-7 wooden blocks, separated by round wooden balls or flat wooden rings on the chain, and it will last from 1 day to a week, depending on the mood of my parrots. My 2 African Greys and a Red-breasted Cockatoo enjoy shredding the wood, which is not too hard or too soft. The larger hole in the block makes it easy to assemble on the chain.
