This is the ultimate mirror! This is the ultimate mirror! Sunny, our 2 year old cockatiel really loves The Hall of Mirrors. We purchased it for him because he felt lonely & frightened in his new cage when we first brought him home from the pet store. Now it is the first thing he does in the morning when we uncover him. Is this mirror real glass?

My Nanday Conure loves this mirror and has three (day cage, night cage, travel cage). He found a spot in one of the corners where the mirrors meet and is chewing the mirror edge. He has it on his mind now and is picking at the other two. I'm worried that it is real glass and will hurt him. Please advise! I hate to take his favorite play thing.

my Cockatiel vigorously pecking and chewed the lower left corner. I have had mine for a little over 7 years and would swear its plastic by the hoise it makes.

Answer:

Should get rid of the glass mirrors and replace them with Polished Stainless Steel or quality highly polished aluminum. Might cost a few dollars but any good welding or metal shop should be able to do this for you. Could save your Conure from eating glass chips.
