product looked as pictured,easy assembly
The parrot playground came well packaged.
assembly was relatively easy, though about 3 of the dowels were slightly too small for the holes they fit into, and we had to insert small pieces of toothpick to stabilize them, since the glue alone did not do the trick.
Also, the bottom "step" was placed just a bit too high, so that my African Grey parrot could not climb onto the first rung till I got a small limb off my tree and attached it to the first "step". That was the only way he could have some assist in climbing up on it to get to the top.
My bird loves being on the top, but being on top means standing on the rim of his feed dish, so that when he goes "potty", it gets onto the green rim at the bottom of the product, and onto the floor, besides onto the bottom of the playground.
Therefore, I would suggest that the perches be shorter so that the bird potties onto the floor of the playground, and not onto my floor.
At this point, I have asked my husband to modify this product, and shorten the top perch so that my bird does not soil my floor so often.
Also, of course, I would suggest the bottom perch to be placed lower so that the bird will not struggle to get onto it. I will admit that I have had my African Grey for 29 years, and a younger bird may not have the same difficulty, but it wouldn't hurt to put that just a little lower.
Overall, I like the playground and am happy that my bird has learned to like coming out of his cage and be so "tall" over everyone else.

It is a great playstand but,
The dowels were too small to fit in the holes. It comes with glue to adhere the dowel in, but the glue is cheap and doesn't seem to work well at all. The glue smells like Elmer's glue. The main piece of wood and a split down the middle. The product did not come with instructions, but product is easy to assemble.
