Easy one-time installation turns your faucet or showerhead into a tropical rainforest whenever you want. Simply snap the Bird Mister hose into place. Dial between light mist and gentle rain settings with a turn of the sprayer head. Keep precise control of water flow using the built-in thumb glide in the handle - even pause the flow as needed!
Choose from identical sprayer heads and hoses fitted for either sink faucets or showerheads. Shower mister includes sprayer head with 6 ft hose, aerator quick connector, and Teflon(R) tape. Sink mister includes sprayer head with 3 ft hose, and aerator quick connector. Both bird misters made of ABS plastic, PVC plastic, rubber, and metal. For all-sized birds.

Benefits of Misting
Aside from the fact that many birds enjoy a good spritz, misting can promote healthy preening of the feathers, leading to reduced instances of feather picking and plucking, Misting can also help moisten and invigorate your bird's skin. Misting is especially important to birds that are molting, as it can help loosen the keratin sheath that covers new pin feathers. This makes it easier for your bird to remove this sheath during normal preening behavior. Misting can also help improve the health of their respiratory systems. Replacing some of this humidity by misting your pet and his enclosure each day can help ensure that your bird's lungs stay as healthy as possible.
Shower Misting Bird Bather
One-Time Installation:
1. Remove your showerhead. Adjustable wrench or pliers may be needed to remove showerhead. To prevent scratching, always cover parts with a cloth before using a wrench or pliers.
2. Wrap pipe threads with the enclosed Teflon(R) tape. This produces a better seal and prevents possible leaking. Twist Rinse Ace connector onto your shower pipe. Exposed threads will not affect the seal. The connector should twist on easily by hand. If you have difficulty, remove the connector, change the angle to align the threads and try again. Do not force the connector, as this could strip the connector threads. Hand-tightening is sufficient.
3. Wrap the connector threads with the enclosed Teflon(R) tape. Reattach the showerhead. Exposed threads on the connector will not affect the seal. Hand-tightening is sufficient.
To Use 2-Setting Sprayer:
1. Attach the hose by aligning the tabs on hose end with notches in connector opening. Push in and twist clockwise to lock. Water will not come through the showerhead when the hose is attached.
2. Turn on water. Water will come out of the sprayer only when the toggle lever is in the UP position. Adjust water flow by moving the easy-glide lever and turn the outer edge of the spray face to select the desired setting for comfort. When water is turned on, never leave hose unattended. Always face sprayer away from your bird before checking water temperature on your hand before spraying your bird.
3. After bird misting, turn on water to rinse the tub clean. Turn off water. Twist the hose counterclockwise to unlock and pull straight out. Move lever on sprayer to drain remaining water from hose. Coil for easy storage with your other pet supplies.
For Bathroom and Kitchen Faucets
1. Remove the faucet's current aerator from spout
2. If spout is threaded on the outside, place thinner washer only inside enclosed aerator. If spout is threaded on the inside, place thicker washer only inside enclosed aerator.
3. Twist aerator onto spout. Aerator can stay permanently attached, if desired.
4. Twist "quick connector" into hose base.
5. Align tabs on "quick connector" with markings on aerator. With one hand, hold faucet for leverage and with other hand push quick-connector into aerator. Turn hose clockwise a quarter turn until it stops, then pull down slightly.
6. Turn on water slowly. Press sprayer button or move toggle lever up to start water flow. When water is turned on, never leave hose unattended.
7. Turn off water before detaching hose. To detach hose, place one hand on faucet for leverage and use other hand to:

Push the hose up.

Turn the hose counterclockwise a quarter turn.

Pull down to detach hose from aerator.
Small drips may occur from backside of aerator with some faucets when hose is not attached. This is normal.
