Feeding Instructions: Feed ZuPreem AvianBreeder Diets before the beginning of breeding season if birds are seasonal breeders. If parents are rearing and feeding their babies, feed them the diet until the baby birds are weaned. Can also be fed when birds are housed in outdoor aviaries during cooler temperatures when their energy requirements are higher.
AvianBreeder Diets are formulated to be fed free choice. A typical bird will consume approximately 20% of its body weight per day. Feed the diet to maintain proper body condition. If the diet is moistened or becomes wet, remove the diet after four hours.
ZuPreem AvianBreeder Diets are formulated to be the bird's sole source of nutrition and require no supplements. If the diet is supplemented with other food items, make sure AvianBreeder Diet makes up at least 80% of what the bird consumes. Adding vitamin or mineral supplements to AvianBreeder Diet is not recommended and could be harmful to the bird.
Convert the bird to ZuPreem AvianBreeder Diet by mixing AvianBreeder Diet with the current food, slowly increasing the proportion of the AvianBreeder Diet and decreasing the proportion of the previous food over the course of 10 to 14 days minimum. Monitor the color of the bird's droppings to ensure they are well formed. The color of the droppings may change as a result of the dietary change. It is not uncommon to observe certain colors from the AvianBreeder FruitBlend Flavor Diet appear in the feces.
Note - As an indicator of health, always monitor for changes in weight and body condition. Provide adequate amounts of food to maintain body condition, preventing excessive thinness or obesity.
Always provide clean, fresh water.

| Hand-feeding and Weaning Basics | | Breeding and raising birds is a challenging responsibility recommended only for those who are willing to invest the time, patience, research, experience, and equipment necessary for proper bird care. |
| | Nesting Materials & Breeding | | Bird nests should provide comfort and warmth for baby birds to successfully hatch. Female birds instinctively search for natural nesting materials that they usually find in the wild such as various reeds, twigs, leaves, and grasses. |
| | Bird Breeding | | While breeding and raising birds is a challenging responsibility, it is also extremely rewarding if you're willing to invest time, finances, and space into proper care. |
| | Bird Care...the Basics | | The way our birds are housed and fed has a tremendous impact on their susceptibility to disease, behavior problems, and breeding capabilities. |
