Avian Calcium 8 oz
This calcium is easy to use, and apparently palatable!
I have been using Avian Calcium for 2-3 years for my two african greys.
Although I feed pellets, seeds, fresh fruit and vegetables, I was concerned my greys were getting enough calcium, as I know greys require more. This product was just what I was looking for!! I sprinkle a light amount of it on their fresh food every morning, and know that they are getting what they need.

The product mixes well with dry food. It coats evenly.
Does'nt stop my birds (finches) from eating my own personal blend of nutrients, which includes Doctors Foster and Smith's Premium Blend.

Many questions on how to use this product
My three 10-month old lovebirds are not munching on their cuttlebone. Hence, I ordered this product in order to make sure that they are getting their calcium. But I am disappointed in that the product comes with almost no instructions on how the powder should be used. The label says to feed 1 ounce per day. Is the amount per bird per day? I have no idea what 1-ounce is. It would have been great if the can came with a 1-ounce measuring spoon. The label also warns that too much calcium can cause problems. Hmm! My love birds daily get some millet, some pellets, some granola, and either an Avi Cake per bird or 2 Nutriberries per bird. In addition, I give them some fruit and some veggie each day. Fruit: a tiny slice of apple or pear or some cantaloupe including the rind or watermelon including the rind. Veggies: a bit of kale,a tiny portion of broccoli, carrot topping, celery or green peas-- one serving of fruit and one serving of a veggie per day. I was told by another lovebird owner that my birds are getting their calcium from the various foods I give them. I am unsure about this. A little brochure on how to measure the calcium and how to use it would have been welcomed.
