hulled oats My cockatiel loves oats. All of the other brands except for one she won't eat. I found Dr. Fosters & Smith brand this year and she really likes these. They come in a large size which I like because she eats them constantly. They are a very good price and I'm very happy with the quality. January 5, 2014

Hulled Oats

I have many of these. They are great. I was wondering are they good for finches or only medium to large birds? Outdoor birds, small birds will eat all size seeds. Indoor pet birds are particular. I have budgies, lovebirds and finches. I was not sure if they could eat them or not due to the size. My finches won't eat the Kaytee treats on the stick. They prefer millet.

All my birds will eat the hulled oats. I have a Parakeets, Cockatiels. Cockatoo, a Lovebird, & Parroilets.
When I had Finches I used to feed it to them, All birds can eat it as long as they can crack the hulls, which is easy for
for all sizes of birds.

Has anyone tried sprouting these oats?

I would like to know how well these sprout. Hulless oats are included in sprout mixes, so obviously they can sprout.
