Great for JBJ Picotope
I bought this for my JBJ Picotope to gain surface skimming and it works perfect. It fits in the tank like it was made for it and with a few changes on the output jets my pico is better than ever! Great filters!
I installed two of these filters in my 75 gallon tank to provide additional water flow, supplemental filtration (I have a fluval external canister filter as well) and surface skimming. While it is true that it would be nice if the suctions cups were bigger, they work well enough and you can always use other methods (wires or larger suction cups) for a more secure installation. My tank is crystal clear and very easy to maintain as a result.

Solved My Problem!
I have a unique tank setup in which the water being filtered by my main filtration system (sponge, carbon, skimmer), is being pushed to the sump by a powerhead pulling water from below the surface. The surface of the water was always getting a film on it, and the only way to help that was to aim a couple powerheads towards the surface of the tank to stir it up, but this was not an ideal solution. I thought my only option was to install an overflow and an under the tank sump, which is expensive and takes away from the simplistic design of my current filtration process. When I found this product it solved all my problems. It is an instant surface skimmer that takes away the surface film and acts as 2 additional powerheads for the tank. This works great and is a cinch to install. If you are having a problem similar to mine, this is the best and most affordable solution.

lack of surface skimming.
I bought this product so it can skim my surface but its been working for a couple of days and it doesn't get all trash/film waste.
