Fluval Sea Alkalinity lets you easily raise and maintain alkalinity in your reef aquarium. This concentrated formula also provides an important energy source for supporting strong coral growth and plays a key role in maintaining optimal pH levels.
Regular use of Fluval Sea Alkalinity helps offset the constant depletion of alkalinity in your reef aquarium by coral, buffering, coralline algae, and natural ongoing biological processes.
Fluval Sea Alkalinity contains USP (pharmaceutical-grade) sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, and sodium borate, which ensure that you receive a high-quality, ultra-pure product free of unwanted contaminants. Fluval Sea Alkalinity does not contain gluconates, nitrates, or phosphates.

| pH in Freshwater Aquariums | | Many freshwater community fish thrive in a broad pH range between slightly acidic (6.5) to slightly alkalic (7.5). To provide their ideal water conditions, you must learn how to make adjustments to your aquarium water using pH conditioners. |
| | pH in Marine Aquariums | | Often overlooked, pH may well be one of the most critical parameters in a healthy system. Maintaining the right pH range - 8.3-8.5 in marine systems - has a natural antiseptic effect, helping fish resist illness and coral calcify faster. |
| | Conditioners for Proper Water Quality | | Depending on your source water, as well as the type of fish you choose, you may need special water conditioners, pH adjusters/buffers, or trace element additives to achieve proper water conditions. |
