New Era Central/South American Cichlid Pellets Pellets 120 grams
Best food for Cichlids ive found
New Era has always been my go to for any type of Cichlid . Ive used their food for years with African Cichlids and now that I have some Central American Cichlids it was the first brand i thought of. Used by public aquariums everwhere this food is the best digestible food you can find. It is soft not hard and is formulated to provide just what they need. Ive tried everything else and nothing compares to New Era. Not known in the US like NLS but it should take over quickly.Mostly a professional product for places like the Atlanta aquarium. Ripley aquariums etc.Brings out colors and makes them healthy.

My South Americans love it.
I have a 210 gallon aquarium with Central and South American Cichlids. I have 10 fish in the tank ranging from 5" to 10." My fish absolutely love this stuff and will not eat anything else. It is very soft and specifically designed for carnivores. I would high recommend this product to anyone that is serious about raising healthy cichlids.. It is nutritionally balanced and helps enhance the coloring of the fish.

Great for my Bolivian Rams.
I have three Bolivian rams that were not eating much flake foods or dried shrimp, so I found these on Foster/Smith and they sounded like a good choice for Rams. The rams love eating these pellets. I drop them in one at a time and watch which Ram snags it. I just repeat until all of them have had one or two. Once they grab one of these pellets they sort of "chew" on them for a few minutes to break them down or spit them out and swallow them again to help break the pellet down so they can digest it. Has made their colors stand out and the fish are now really healthy. Definitely pick some of this food up!

Great for small or young fish
The fact that the food is soft makes it easy for smaller, younger fish to crush or masticate for lack of a better term. I like feeding NLS but sometimes small fish cannot break it up because it's too dense. This stuff is perfect for situations like this. I'm currently feeding it to some juvenile Krobia xinguensis, Aequidens metae, and Geophagus sp Red head tapajos, and they all eat it greedily. Ingredients list is very good too. Don't hesitate to try this food.
