Oceanic BioCube Mini Hydrometer

Know aquarium salt levels at a glance without obstructing beautiful views. Compact Mini Hydrometer is the smart, space-saving solution that allows discreet and accurate measurement of aquarium salinity and specific gravity. This submersible swing-arm hydrometer measures only 2-3/8" x 1-7/8" and 5/8" thick, roughly the size of a matchbook. Use as an in-tank hydrometer for continuous readings or simply remove for periodic routine readings. Features calibrated hydrometer arm and built-in leveling needle for accurate readings. Ideal for placement in all saltwater aquariums and sump filtration systems.

1. Submerge hydrometer approximately six inches below the water line.
2. Attach to glass in desired area using suction cup.
3. If necessary, gently tap hydrometer to dislodge any air bubbles.
4. Read specific gravity on scale. Recommended specific gravity is 1.021 to 1.026 for most marine aquariums.

Note: For first time use, submerge hydrometer first 24 hours before taking initial reading to allow the needle to be seasoned.

Suggested Uses

• Submerge in aquarium for periodic readings and then remove.
• Leave submerged in aquarium or sump for continuous readings.

Leveling Instructions
Line up small leveling needle with vertical line on outside of hydrometer.

Cleaning

• If used for periodic readings, salt deposits may accumulate inside unit. To clean, soak in lukewarm water or vinegar for 30 minutes. Rinse with fresh water and air dry.
• If hydrometer remains submerged in the aquarium, clean monthly to prevent algae growth. Remove unit from aquarium, soak in vinegar for one hour. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water and air dry before returning to aquarium.
