Coralife Marine Salt

The Coralife Marine Salt Mix Solution
Dissolving 1/2 cup of Coralife Marine Salt in one gallon of purified 78°F water will yield a solution with the following properties:

Specific Gravity: 1.021-1.023
pH: 8.2 to 8.3
Calcium: 390 to 410 ppm
Magnesium: 1,110 to 1.250 ppm

1. Use dechlorinated tap water, distilled, deionized or reverse osmosis water.
2. Mix salt in appropriate amount of water - approximately 4 cups to every 10 gallons.
3. Aerate mixture to attain adequate gas equilibrium.
4. Adjust salinity (specific gravity) to desired level using a reliable hydrometer. To increase salinity, add salt. To decrease salinity, add water. A specific gravity of 1.021-1.023 is recommended for most marine tanks.
5. Reseal zip-lock bag and store remainder in a dry place.

Approximately 0.30 lb. of Coralife Marine Salt dissolved in 1 gallon of distilled water at 78°F, will yield a solution with the following properties*:

Specific gravity - 1.022-1.023
pH - 8.2-8.3
Calcium - 430-450 ppm
