Submariner UV Sterilizer/Clarifier Quartz Sleeve

Cleaning the Quartz Sleeve (Monthly)
The quartz sleeve acts like a barrier between the water and the UV-C lamp to maintain proper operating temperatures and allow for a 99% transmission rate.

Cleaning the quartz sleeve is crucial to the UV's success and should be performed monthly.

Step 1: Remove the pump from the main body.

Step 2: Unscrew the black quartz sleeve cover (counter clockwise)

Step 3: Clean any unwanted algae and debris from the outside of the quartz sleeve.

Note: Vinegar may be used to remove calcium deposits on the exterior of the quartz sleeve. Thoroughly clean residue off before reinstalling.

Do you sell the o-rings for the Submarinar UV sterilizers?

I am looking for ones for the 13 watt model. When I called customer service for Submariner, they said that the o-rings need to be replaced regularly.

Thank you for your question. The UV bulb is changeable on the Submariner UV Sterilizer/Clarifier. We suggest you change the bulb yearly for optimum UV performance. This particular item you are looking at is just the Quartz Sleeve replacement part and not the entire Submariner UV Sterilizer/Clarifier.
