• Remove all accessories from box.
• Firmly push the Collection Cup into the Skimmer body.
• Be sure the Venturi is pushed fully onto the Pump and feed the Air Intake Tubing to the Silencer.
• Place the skimmer in the sump. The water level in the sump should be 8-10 inches deep.
• Place the Collection Cup Lid on top of the Collection Cup and you are ready to plug in.
• The water level inside the skimmer body is controlled by turning the water level adjusting to either the right or left.

Q: Pump stopped working. What should I do?
A: Remove pump cover and ensure that impeller spins freely and shaft bushing are installed correctly.

Q: Water/bubbles keep overflowing into collection cup. What may be the cause?
A:
1. It takes up to 72 hours for a protein skimmer to break in before operating properly.
2. When feeding corals, turn OFF skimmer for up to 3 hours.
3. Make sure to use ROI water.
4. Certain medications, additives and epoxy contain surfactants that can cause excess bubbling.

Q: There are many micro bubbles returning to the display tank. What should I do?
A: The skimmer requires a break-in period, which can take a period of one to two weeks.

Q: My skimmer stopped producing bubbles. What could be the cause?
A:
1. The Venturi might be clogged up with calcium buildup. It's best to clean the pump and Venturi every 2-3 months to prevent calcium buildup.
2. Make sure the Airline Tubing is not bent.
3. Skimmer needs time to break in.

Q: What's the water level requirement for my skimmer?
A: 8" minimum and 10" maximum.

Q: What should the water level be inside the skimmer?
A: Bottom of the cone neck for dry skimming. Top of cone neck for wet skimming.
