Excellent skimmer, great price!
I have the PSK-75H on my 30gal reef aquarium and it is by far one of the best skimmers I have ever used. I was very impressed with the construction of this skimmer... the acrylic is thick and durable, the PVC plumbing is also thick and durable, and the best part is the design is incredibly simple. I didn't even have to look at the manual to put it together, the only part I read out of the manual was how to prime it. It's been in about a week now and is pulling out some pretty nasty gunk! Another thing I like is it's quiet. The only sounds you really hear is a very slight low hum from the motor (hardly noticeable) and the sound of the return gently flowing back into the aquarium. Some cons I just want to mention...the PVC pipes extend into the tank a bit and the adjustment tube is pretty tall, it would be nicer if they were shorter and the skimmer snugged up to the tank a bit more. Also the mounting bracket (along with above mentioned PVC) is large and due to both of these I've had to let it hang off the back of the tank at a slight angle so I'd have room for my lights. Aside from that it's a great skimmer at an excellent price, I'd recommend it to anyone.

this is a real good protein skimmer
I'm so happy that I added this protein skimmer to my 125 gallon reef aquarium . it only took two to three days for the skimmer to start pulling out the ugly brown waste from my reef aquarium .

Well built, excellent skimmer
I purchased the PSK-100H hang on skimmer to replace a SeaClone 100 that has gone through two pumps in the last 11 months, with declining performance over time. The PSK-100 seems a little on the large size for an HOB skimmer, but the nice part is the majority of the plumbing is external, including the pump. I really like the heavy duty Sched 80 PVC fittings for the plumbing.
I only have about 4.5 inches behind my tank and it fit perfectly. It's been installed on my 46G tank for about 4 days now and it just started producing skimmate about a day ago. The skimmate is still on the tea-colored side, so I'll have to see if I can get it to produce anything darker like my SeaClone did when it was running properly.
One thing that surprised me compared to the SeaClone, is how quiet this skimmer is. It will occasionally gurgle through the adjustment tube, but other than that it is nearly silent.
When it's completely broken in I am sure it will be doing an awesome job as the reaction chamber is filled with a flurry of very small white bubbles--much more than any skimmer I've seen.

Great Skimmer
Added the PSK-100H to my 72 gallon FOWLR tank. What I love about this skimmer is that the pump is not in the aquarium (I hate seeing the pumps inside the tank). The skimmer is dead silent when it runs, no noisy venturi or air slurping noise coming from it. It's easy to adjust, and doesn't require constant fiddling.
The skimmer immediately started pulling a thick, dark green skimmate. After about a week, the skimmate is more like foul smelling green tea. I empty the cup about every other day.
My only real complaint is that there are some micro-bubbles getting returned to the tank. There aren't many, but I am trying to think of ways to limit this, I am a tinkerer at heart. This would have reduced my rating to 4 stars, but given the price, I had to leave it at 5 stars!
