Excellent Product!
I am a huge fan if Seachem products & it's all because if this product. I've used other carbons in my H.O.T. Magnum canister filter & will NEVER use anything else but MatrixCarbon! The spherical shape of the carbon and how strong each one is, is amazing! The other carbons I've used looked like it was the left overs that fell on the floor and would disintegrate just by squeezing it between my fingers. MatrixCarbon does not compact like other carbons either & that is why I will never use anything else!

best carbon out in the market
i have used almost all carbon out there in the market and i find this to be the best. i would say you get what you pay for in this case. i change out my filters once a month for my Koi tank 250 gal. koi and gold fish are the worst when comes to polluting water and this product cleans it up and keeps it clean up to a month no prob.

This activated carbon has a spherical shape for optimum water flow and superior chemical filtration. Water moves through it, not around it, allowing water to come in maximum contact with its highly porous binding sites. Greater contact between water and Matrix Carbon means more organic waste materials being removed before exhaustion. The result is cleaner, clearer aquarium water for a longer period of time. Treats twice as much water for twice as long as most activated carbons! Unlike conventional granular activated carbons, the unique spherical shape prevents compacting or channeling, and Matrix Carbon is very clean and nearly dust-free. Won't affect pH. 500 ml/200 grams will easily dose 200 gallons for several months.
