General Information
Tropical Science Biolabs produce a highly concentrated "sludge eating" bacteria blend that provides natural solid waste and odor elimination. Sludge is digested and oxidized into natural carbon dioxide gas, which is expelled odorless into the air. In documented findings, tests showed effluent biochemical oxygen demand was improved by 25% and total suspended solids had improved 78%.

Marine Clean is also a tremendous help in reducing wear and tear and long-term destruction of expensive filtration systems by reducing harmful sulfides and organic solids.

Organic sludge competes with nitrifying bacteria for precious oxygen and clogs the filter bed, thus suffocating and inhibiting the biological filter (oxygen concentrations need to be maintained above 80% of saturation to achieve maximum nitrification rates and sludge reduction increases biochemical oxygen availability).
