Overview

*Liquid trace element supplement for freshwater planted aquariums
*Replenishes trace elements necessary for healthy aquarium plants
*Simplifies supplementation of trace elements for lush plant growth

An excellent source of important trace elements for aquarium plants. Seachem Flourish Trace replenishes important trace elements that can be rapidly depleted by various chemical processes and natural plant growth. Flourish Trace accurately supplies the trace elements truly needed for continued lush growth of freshwater plants. Flourish Trace does not add random trace elements to ensure proper aquarium plant health and growth. Allows for more frequent dosing without build up of more slowly used components often associated with broad-spectrum supplement use.

Dosage: One capful for every 20 gallons twice a week. 500 ml treats 100 gallons for 2-4 months.

Signs of trace element deficiencies
Boron: Death of stem and root apical meristem, leaves twisted, young tissue most affected.
Cobalt: Used for nitrogen fixation, same as nitrogen deficiency signs (stunted growth).
Copper: Young leaves dark green, twisted, wilted, tip remains alive.
Manganese: Chlorosis of young leaves, with smallest veins remaining green, necrosis between veins.
Molybdenum: Chlorosis, twisting, death of young leaves.
Zinc: Reduced leaf size, shortened internodes, chlorosis, spotted leaves, older leaves most affected.
Nickel: lack of germination or seed formation, required for iron absorption.

Directions
Use 5 mL for every 20 US gallons twice a week. When using in conjunction with Flourish, dose on alternate days.

General Information
Flourish Trace supplies a broad range of trace elements demonstrated to be necessary for proper plant health and growth. Trace elements are normally depleted by utilization, oxidation and precipitation. The latter two processes occur more rapidly than with other micronutrients. This makes it important to restore trace elements on a regular basis. Flourish Trace may be used alone or in conjunction with Flourish. Best results are obtained when both are used. Flourish Trace is safe for invertebrates such as shrimp.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Under what circumstances would I use Flourish Trace if I'm already using Flourish?
A: Flourish Trace is a supplement based on the National Academy of Sciences findings that certain trace/ultra-trace minerals are necessary for development of plant life. These trace/ultra-trace minerals are rapidly consumed and depleted through chemical means, some in mere hours. Flourish is an organically based supplement. The use of Flourish Trace will give you a way to dose back these trace/ultra-trace minerals without doubling up on the organics found in Flourish. I would use them preferably on alternate days to keep a constant influx of these trace/ultra-trace minerals available to your plants.

Q: Will the recommended dosages of Flourish Trace cause an increase in general water hardness?
A: Because the elements are in trace amounts, they should not increase your general hardness. The trace elements in Flourish Trace are either utilized, oxidized or precipitated from solution.

About Seachem
Seachem's philosophy is that the knowledgeable hobbyist makes the best customer. This is reflected in solid and reliable customer education and support as well as products proven in science and performance. While Seachem has grown rapidly into a national and international firm, it retains the culture of a small company and is readily available to its customers.

For over three decades, Seachem has been a company rooted in sound science. Their experience in the hobby and an educated staff of chemists and biologists are part of the package when you purchase Seachem products. Seachem remains as one of the few surviving independent and privately owned pet care companies. Seachem is owned and operated by hobbyists. All Seachem employees are hobbyists who maintain aquariums at home and at the office. Seachem itself was started because one such hobbyist found the available solutions to aquarists' problems wanting. This resulted in Seachem's very first product: Cupraplex™ (today known as Cupramine™. Over thirty years later Seachem is still approaching old problems in a new way that outperform the already high standards we've set with the Seachem line. Seachem is committed to maintaining that optimization.
