Nova Extreme SLR T-5 Fixtures 36" x 8" Saltwater; 156 watt
Nice Plant Light
Don't normally post reviews, but I am so impressed with this light. Purchased 48" freshwater system for my 75g planted tank and I'm very impressed so far. My plants are responding well and allready showing new growth on my slow growing Anubias bartelli. The ligfht coverage in my tank is great and the colors of my fish are good. I use an add on lunar light for added effect, the fixture has plenty of mounting options for this, mine just slid on in the supplied grooves on the bottom of the fixture. Will re-post on longevity of this system later.

I bought the 30 inch 2 bulb 48 watt for my freshwater planted tank. It was well packed, easy to set up and the plants love it. If your looking at the odyssea light, dont bite! They are garbage get these instead. My only complaint is that the legs are confusing to put on

A lot of light!
I purchased the 30" x 5-1/2" Freshwater 48 watt, for my 29 gallon tank. I was worried that it wouldn't be enough light for the 30 gallon plant pack. I was wrong. It was plenty of light! In fact, I had to reduce the amount of time the light was on. This light would be perfect for plants that require medium light intensity (my plants, like the java fern, only need minimal light). It is true that the light spectrum emphasizes the green color of the plants. The light also brings out the fish colors in my beautiful gold gourami, gold nugget pleco and assorted guppies. This particular version does not have a cooling fan, so I was worried it would run hot. Quite the contrary! I could have it on for 8-10hrs and touch the fixture and barely feel much heat. The heat sinks on the sides do a good job of allowing the heat to flow away from the fixture. This results with little or no heat transfer to the tank! In fact, I didn't notice any difference in tank temperature!
