New Life
I have had my 55 gal tank for years and finally needed a new light on one side. I decided to try the 50/50 this time because of the description and went ahead and replaced both sides, when I turned them on I was very impressed with the new life the tank had. The colors on the fish and decorations were very vibrant and soothing at the same time. I did have an issue with one of the lights and Foster and Smith warranty was quick to resolve the matter. I am now looking to replace the light assembly in my other tank with the same light source.

Great choice.
This product shows my tank fish and plants beautifully. The color of the light is so different from ordinary bulbs..

good replacements for older fixtures
one of the few bulbs you can still buy and count on for quality. straight pin fits European standard lights like the older aqualights and some of the retrofit's. not nearly as common as the Japanese square pin.
unfortunately compact florescent fixtures are becoming a thing of the past, newer more energy efficient and more powerful lights are available. money spend on bulbs would be better spend twords a better light. recommended replacment around the 6 month mark.
