Fantastic little tank!
I bought this little tank for my Betta and he loves it! Easy to set up, looks great and fits almost anywhere. I read the reviews about the filter being too strong and I really don't see it. I love the bio-wheel and I put in plenty of artificial plants to give my little Betta plenty of cover. The LED lights are great but I don't think they are strong enough for live plants, that's why I went with the artificials.
Bottom line...nice little tank, good lights, good filtration, great looks!
Happy fish keeping!

Expectations too high
I don't think this is a bad product, but perhaps my expectations were too high. The aquarium looks good, but the acrylic is very thin and had scratches out of the box. I like Bio Wheel filters, but as mentioned in another review, the splashing noise from the filter is very loud. Filter output is satisfactory. The LED lighting looks great, and even comes with a blue moon light. The biggest disappointment for me is there is only one plug for the lighting, and that plug is integrated with the filter. This means there is no way to hook up a timer for the lights without shutting of the filter as well. The primary light, moon light, and filter should all have separate power to allow for lighting timers to be added. Overall, if it wasn't for the splashing water and poorly designed power layout, this would be a nice aquarium.

nice to look at but complicated assembly
Looks great once assembled, but getting all the plastic pieces put together is a pain and promises to be a miserable process when cleaning each month. Also seems a little pricey.

Spend money elsewhere!
I loved the look of this tank. It looks very sleek with nice lines. However, it is by no means the wonderful quality of other marineland products. The acrylic is cheap, thin and scratches far too easily. It is a very loud filter that splashes too much water regardless of water level so it sounds like a waterfall in your room. The current is very strong from the water pouring out of the filter that most fish cannot even swim through. They can not find a place to rest because the are moved around the tank. After a month or two, the filter or motor stopped working. I would clean out all of the parts and wiggle it and it will work for a few hours, then shut off. The water never looks clear because of the strong agitation. I really tried to like it, but it has been very disappointing. I thought I could swap out the filter, but you cannot. The filter, motor, lights and hood are all one piece. This is such a pain! I have contacted the manufacturer about the problems and have not had any resolution to date. Right now it sits with a few snails in it and once a day I will wiggle the filter assembly to get some water movement, but have no idea if I can take it back or just wait for the company to respond. Please save your money! I have had the eclipse 5 gallon corner unit for 5 years and it works like the day I got it! (I didn't buy it from Dr.'s Foster and Smith)
