Treat your tap water with Fluval Shrimp Safe Conditioner to neutralize chlorine, chloramines and heavy metals present in tap water. Measuring cap included for easy dosing. 4 oz treats up to 240 gallons when treating chlorine.

Check water temperature daily in your Ebi with the Fluval Nano Thermometer, which attaches easily to the side of the Ebi aquarium with included suction cup.

The minimum tank size for a shrimp aquarium is approximately 19 liters (5 US gallons). The Fluval Ebi Nano Shrimp Habitat features a volume of approximately 30 liters (7.9 US gallons) and dimensions that permit the choice of a large number of shrimp species options. A cover is recommended for an aquarium containing shrimp as they can climb, and the Fluval Nano Shrimp Habitat includes one.

Filtration
The Fluval Ebi features a small internal filter designed for maximum water clarity and biological capacity. The filter features an integrated spray bar for maximum oxygenation and diffused current.

Lighting
The Fluval Ebi features a 13-watt daylight compact fluorescent light, which is shielded by the plastic cover on the top of the aquarium. The light will support ample live plant growth of low to mid-light plants.

Substrate
The Fluval Shrimp Stratum is an essential addition to the nano shrimp habitat and ideal for growing live plants in the aquarium. Derived from naturally occurring sources, the dimensions of this natural substrate will allow newborn shrimp to hide while also providing an ideal rooting medium for plants. Additionally, the dark colored Stratum contrasts beautifully against the vibrant colors of the plants and brightly colored dwarf shrimp species.

Care and Maintenance Tips

Daily

• Feed shrimp
• Check all shrimp for normal behavior
• Check temperature and make sure filter and lighting system are running smoothly
• Remove uneaten food

Weekly

• Perform partial water changes every two weeks using Fluval Shrimp Safe (#73680)
• Clean fluorescent tubes and fixtures if necessary
• Clean inner and outer glass surfaces
• Top off aquarium with water that has been pre-conditioned with Fluval Shrimp Safe (#73680)
• Test water
• Dose with Nutrafin Cycle (#120093)

Monthly

• Maintain filter and check the impeller
• Change filter media every 3-6 months
• Boost new media with Nutrafin Cycle (#120093) as needed
• Check your supplies of food, water conditioners, media and other regularly used items

Directions for Using Fluval Shrimp Safe Conditioner
To neutralize toxic elements present in tap water and provide your shrimp with optimal water conditions, make sure to use Fluval Shrimp Safe. 4 oz treats 240 gallons when removing chlorine; treats 120 gallons when removing chloramine.

Use Fluval Shrimp Safe for:

• Initial aquarium filling
• Adding new water (top offs)
• Water changes
• Shrimp transport

Instructions for use
Shake well before using. To remove chlorine, use 5ml to treat 10 US gallons. To move chloramines, use 10 ml to treats 10 US gallons. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, seek medical advice.
