a pets life saver!!
no joke,bought the 3pk and five days after arrival, fire took out transformer, one 29gal. comm.tank, one 10gal.shrimp tank. no loss!! reached bottom of the 29 used 6in anchor bubblers. round that came with pump in 10. batteries lasted longer than would expect. ONE TIP!! drill air holes over diaphram area on door!!! eases work load on the pump..better volume of air movement!!! every one without a home generator needs at least one per tank and keep extra batt.on hand!!!!! THANKS!!

Works great!
I'm very satisfied with this air pump. I had to move a tank and it worked great. However, the instructions on the box indicate that two "AA" batteries are required for use. Actually, this pump uses two "D" size batteries.

just what i wanted
i use this to aerate a 2 gal. gold fish bowl. i use 1 d sized battery once a week to run it overnight (it is noisy). i only have to change the water in the bowl weekly instead of every 2-3 days now. i now have a pretty bowl on my coffee table, without cords or tubes sticking out of it ,and my 2 goldfish are happy.
i don't know if it's "durable" yet 'cause i haven't had it very long.
