It allows versitility in your tank
I have many big saltwater tanks. This allows me to add small and/or dangerous fish to my tank with no problem. The little fish that would disappear you can always see clearly. The pump adds enough circulation that there is no problem with flow. It has allowed me to get anglers and lionfish to enjoy in a safe way.

Holds okay
I was worried about the "suction cups" holding on. I bought the small one for my 20 Gal Reef. I put in a DSB (Deep Sand Bed) and one live rock (small size) and it may have slipped a lil on one side where I seem to have more sand (as to placing the rock) one side but its holding fine!
Its been about 2 weeks now, the pump works, its stable as far as the Suction cups go so I am going to recommend this

Genius!
A tank within a tank
Pros
Excellent price
Perfect size -using it in 40g salt reef
Holds well against wall but o did put something under "just in case" BC of others saying it falls.i have a lot of sand, live rock and it is holding by itself just fine
Comes with small pump
Cons
Pump can be noisy
Placement of pump due to hole insert requires it to sit at very edge of top tank...this will mean staying on top of water. Evap otherwise pump will start to rim dry.would be mice if they lowered the insert hole
Highly recommend!!! I'm using it to grow copepods for a mandarin

great acclimation tool
This product is fantastic for acclimating new fish and corals and is also a superb tool for quarantining new livestock for a period of time before releasing them into your aquarium. It is easy to keep them quarantined and dip the fish in medicated baths while they are contained within the refugium. For our service clients, we have even been inserting pieces of acrylic "egg crate" material (light grid also used in wet/dry sumps) in order to separate multiple fish within the refugium during the quarantine period.
